Gary became a Certified Golf Course Superintendent in 1977 by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and has maintained an active status with nine consecutive 5-year term renewals.. 

 

He also is amongst only a few in the world and earned the prestigious Master Greenkeepers certificate and title from the British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association.

Gary has been responsible for agronomy, construction, grow-in and on-course maintenance for more than 25 facilities throughout the U.S., 16 of these while with Kindred and Co. for 10 years as a vice president/agronomist.

Gary has also worked diligently over the past couple of decades pioneering quality foliar nutrition. Science backed products and proven results are the hallmarks of his efforts. He works to bring the best of science, education, and best practices to the men and women on the Golf Course across the globe. He has worked with many dozens of University Research projects and has contributed to ever evolving standards of quality for turfgrass management. He knows what is important well beyond the agronomics. He has mentored many in the business who went on to become Golf Course Superintendents. He has given countless lectures, seminars, and webinars to both sides of the industry; the people on the course as well as training companies and sales people endeavoring to serve the industry. Gary maintains an extensive network of resources and people in his beloved industry. In the spirit of giving-back, Gary created and maintains the preeminent private online social group of industry peers where ideas are cultivated across the world.
